Nearly all DMO websites have lists of events. Many also have event calendars tied to event lists. Given that this standard, it’s surprising that very few DMOs link their events to maps. Since events happen at specific locations, TravelTools® recognizes that people want to see where things happen as much as they want to know what is happening. TravelTools® does this by providing a link between your events database and your map in the form of an exclusive spatial events calendar—a JavaScript-based, Django bridge between your event database and your mapping functionality. In practice, your visitors will not only see what's happening and when, they will also see where. As with all your information, the resulting events map can be added to an e-mailed itinerary.
